Fiscal and Economic Impact Analyses
Nexus Planning & Research provides fiscal and economic impact analytical support for new residential, commercial, industrial, and recreational development. Services include evaluating the impact of of development on tax revenues, local public services, and job creation.
Carbon Strategy and CEQA Compliance
Jackson Family Wines retained Nexus Planning & Research to conduct a 6-year GHG emissions assessment for their organization, including Scopes 1, 2 and 3. Nexus evaluated a range of disparate data sets and performed an analysis that provided JFW with a baseline of the company's cumulative impacts, while also laying a clear path of recommendations for JFW to achieve emissions reductions in line with their goals. Nexus continues to provide guidance to assist JFW in navigating California’s greenhouse gas emissions regulatory environment, specifically related to CEQA impacts and regional planning efforts.
City of San Diego Climate Action Plan
Nexus Planning & Research (formerly Krout & Associates) provided consultation to the City of San Diego for the 2014 Climate Action Plan (CAP). The CAP establishe a planning horizon of 2013-2035 and quantifies greenhouse gas emissions from the community and City operations; establishes reduction targets for 2020 and 2035; identifies strategies and measures to reduce GHG emissions, focusing on those that the City has authority to implement; and provides guidance for monitoring progress on an annual basis. In addition, the CAP highlights climate change vulnerabilities, adaptation strategies, and recommendations for further research.
Balboa Park Cultural Partnership Sustainability Program Strategic Plan
Nexus Planning & Research is a Sustainability Program Partner and provides consultation to the the Sustainability Program at the Balboa Park Cultural Partnership to update the Sustainability Plan and develop an efficient and effective implementation strategy. The Plan provides for internal educational opportunities, a workplan for use by staff and member institutions, development of performance metrics, and protocol for communicating and evaluating the success of the Program.
